Days start for most guests with a stroll through tropical gardens to the restaurant for a hearty or healthy breakfast. This is alfresco dining at its best.

THE RESTAURANT

Daily changing a la carte menus offer choices of fresh seafood and dishes combining classical cuisine with the exotic herbs and spices of the Caribbean. You’ll be hard pressed to find finer food anywhere in Barbados, except perhaps at the sister hotel The Sandpiper? There’s a great rivalry between the kitchens, the beneficiaries being the diners.
For guests who have pre-booked dinner and want to dine out some evenings, there is the option of having lunch instead – perfect for those with a good appetite as during the winter you’re spoilt with an extravagant buffet including salads, pastas, hot and cold meats and fresh fish; not to mention the sweets.
The bar adjoins the restaurant and offers respite shade by day and at night is the perfect setting for pre and post dinner drinks.

BABYSITTING

Babysitting service is US $7.50 per hour during the day and US$12.50 per hour at night. Minimum of US$25.00 per day or night.

BABY EQUIPMENT

There is limited baby equipment available upon request, at no additional charge: cribs, high chairs, child bed guards, play pens, hot plates, bottle sterilizing tablets, children’s books, baby monitors, crib mosquito nets and kettles.

FAMILY PROGRAMME

We have designed a special family program for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years. Three half hour sailing trips with our watersports team and three half hour swimming lessons are available at certain times of the year.

The Beach – fine white sand, crystal clear waters and shady trees to rest under. For those who like to wander you can stroll in either direction.
The Pools – Located towards the front of the hotel surrounded by tropical foliage. The second pool is set back close to the villas.
The Spa – is a welcoming oasis of relaxed calm. It has a Hydro Pool, Crystal Steam Room, four treatment rooms and The Pavilion which is an outdoor treatment suite perfect for couples and friends.
The Boutique – for Caribbean chic and essentials (toothpaste & paracetamol)
TV & Computer Room – TV’s and DVDs can also be placed in guests’ rooms on request

30ft catamaran –  for morning, afternoon, lunch and full day charters
Deep Sea Fishing – charters for big game fishing can be arranged.

All of the 88 rooms and suites are individually decorated with ceiling fans, air-conditioning and have fridges, toasters, iPod dock, wall safes and hairdryers. They have either king size or twin beds. All rooms and suites have lovely vistas, overlooking the gardens, pool or Caribbean Sea.

The Single Garden rooms each consist of a queen size bed, bathroom and patio or balcony and have a garden view.

Rooms and cottages each consist of a king size or twin bedded room, bathroom and patio or balcony and have a garden view.

Junior Suite style accommodation consists of a large king size or twin bedded room with sitting area within the bedroom, a luxurious bathroom with separate shower and tub and large patio or balcony.
Superior Junior Suites are located in the gardens and Luxury Junior Suites are located in the front half of the gardens leading towards the sea. The majority are pool view.

LUXURY COTTAGES AND SUITES (13)

Cottages on the ground floor or Suites on the first floor consist of a king or twin bedded room, dressing area, en-suite bathroom with separate shower and tub, air-conditioned living room with sofa bed, large patio and private plunge pool. They are located in the front half of the gardens leading towards the sea. The majority are garden view.

LUXURY PLANTATION SUITES (5)

The five Luxury Plantation Suites consist of a bedroom with four poster or canopied bed, spacious living room with TV, dressing area and a large bathroom with a walk-in-shower and separate tub, all air-conditioned. A large covered terrace is complete with complimentary starter pack open sundeck and a plunge pool. The Plantation Suites all have seaviews and can accommodate two adults. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted. Two suites can convert from king to twin beds, if required.

COMBINATIONS OF INTER-CONNECTING ROOMS AND SUITES

Combinations available are two Garden Rooms/Cottages, one Superior Junior Suite and one Garden Room, two Luxury Junior Suites, two Luxury Cottages or one Villa.

THE VILLAS (2)

Tamarind and Ixora, Coral Reef’s two villas are situated within the hotel grounds and are an excellent alternative for families or groups of friends looking for extra space and flexibility.

TAMARIND (3 DOUBLES AND 2 BATHROOMS)

Located next to a shared swimming pool, this villa has a luxurious master suite with dressing room and large air-conditioned bathroom comprising separate bath and shower. The dressing room can hold a crib but please note it is a thoroughfare to the bathroom. The two other bedrooms share a bathroom with separate shower and bath. There is also a kitchen, spacious living room with television, DVD player, CD player and large terrace with chaise lounges and dining area leading to a large private lawn.

IXORA (4 DOUBLE BEDROOMS, 3 BATHROOMS AND SHOWER ROOM)

Situated in the gardens next to a shared swimming pool, Ixora has a luxurious Master Suite with private patio and large air-conditioned bathroom with separate bath and shower. It also has two double bedrooms with bathrooms and a further double bedroom with an en suite shower room. This villa also has a kitchen, spacious living room with television, DVD player, CD player and a large terrace with chaise lounges and dining area leading to a large private lawn.
